Key Responsibilities
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, local municipality regulations, and company food safety standards.
Audits & Inspections
- Conduct internal food safety audits and hygiene inspections.
- Identify non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare audit reports and follow up on action closures.
- Support external inspections by regulatory authorities and clients.
Hygiene & Sanitation
- Monitor personal hygiene practices of food handlers.
- Ensure cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures are properly followed.
- Verify pest control activities and maintain related records.
- Ensure proper waste management and disposal practices.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain food safety records, checklists, logs, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly hygiene reports.
- Ensure all food safety documentation is updated and audit-ready.
Training & Awareness
- Conduct food safety and hygiene training sessions for staff.
- Promote awareness on safe food handling and hygiene practices.
- Support onboarding orientation related to food safety standards.
Incident Management
- Investigate food safety incidents, complaints, and contamination risks.
- Assist in implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Escalate critical food safety concerns to management immediately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, Hospitality, Nutrition, or related field.
- HACCP Certification is mandatory.
- ISO 22000 / Food Safety Management certification preferred.
- Level 3 Food Safety certification is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in food safety and hygiene operations.
- Experience in catering, hospitality, healthcare, industrial catering, or large-scale food production environments preferred.
- GCC experience is an advantage.
- Conduct routine inspections of kitchens, stores, dining areas, and food preparation zones.
- Monitor food handling, cooking, cooling, storage, and transportation processes.
- Ensure proper temperature monitoring and documentation for food items and equipment.
- Verify cleanliness and sanitation standards are consistently maintained.
