Job Description

A Food Server Assistant supports waitstaff in the restaurant by performing tasks like clearing and setting tables, refilling drinks, and assisting with guest requests. They play a crucial role in ensuring efficient service and a positive dining experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Setting tables with appropriate silverware, glassware and dishes
• Refilling water glasses, coffee cups and other beverages
• Removing dishes and resetting tables for next guests
• Ensuring the dining area is stocked with necessary supplies like napkins, condiments and silverware, centerpieces
• Assisting servers with tasks such as running food to tables, delivering drink refills and providing additional items
• Answering basic guest questions and assisting with their requests
• Cleaning the dining area and ensuring it is tidy and organized
  
  

Job Qualifications

• One year of prior food and beverage experience preferred
• Prior guest relations training
• Knowledge of proper food handling
• Strong written/verbal communications skills
• Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision
• Punctuality and reliable attendance are required
• Proper food safety training and certification as described by law
