Position: Food Service Worker/Cashier

Location: Kennedy Catholic High School (54 Route 138, Somers, NY 10589)

Shift Information: Monday-Friday, 7am-2pm

*This is a seasonal position following the school calendar (September-June, no weekends or holidays)

We are looking for for a dedicated and reliable Cafeteria Food Service Worker for one of our school’s cafeterias. This candidate will be part of a great team that is always looking to improve the students lunch experience. Applicants must enjoy working in a school setting, and provide a positive and uplifting meal experience. Our goal is to always provide students with the best 30 minutes of their day!

Some Job Duties and Responsibilities will include:

• Utilizing commercial kitchen equipment to assist in the preparation of menu items.
• Monitoring food at serving areas for fresh appearance and proper holding temperatures.
• Assisting in serving food on the service line
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of food service area during and after service.

Qualifications:

• Previous food service experience is strongly preferred.
• Must be a team player with a positive and upbeat attitude.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Must feel comfortable standing for long periods of time.
• Must possess a High School diploma or GED.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
