Ford Trucks Paintshop Operations Leader

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering team and lead to perform the Production and FPS requirements on the production lines.

• Implementing efficiency projects,

• Tracking internal and external manufacturing quality metrics , finding root cause and solution with responsibility for process issues.

• Coordinating and integration of product development teams , PVT and manufacturing Engineering departments for project line trials and function builds.

• Responsible for ensuring all machines, equipments(including tightenning tools) and automation systems at the production line are functionable.

• Ensuring all motor and drive systems in the production line are functioning, solving the failures and controlling their maintenance,

• Following technological developments in the sector and makes feasibility studies on the application of these developments in the factory on productivity and cost advantage

• Ensuring that the industrial communication instruments, sensors and signaling systems in the production line are functioning,

• Provide planning, instructions, procedures, legal standards and quality management in accordance with Ford standards to ensure the most efficient use of available resources

• Pioneer on Technological developments in her/his area within the sector and in the industry, innovations, monitoring competitors, projecting and implementing the necessary applications. To take part in business development, improvement, Patents

• Provider for support of productivity and implementing cost reduction studies within the equipment of the automation systems

• Problem solver on chronic defects with problem solving tools and 6 sigma methodology

• Leader of Industrial material consumption reduction studies

• Improve systems and introducing new equipments to the system, giving trainings

• Lead on establishment of specifications for equipment and support under Ford Otosan Standards Creation

• Activator on automation systems, related procedures, instructions,

• Planner of the needs for spare parts of equipment and consumables,

• Doing cost reduction and localisation studies within the automation projects, able to programme all the software in the PLC's context, PLC software in all projects

• To manage scrap

• To manage absence

• To determine production priorty

• To track quality metrics and to implement the developments,

• To inspect the operating of the plant procedures,

• To analysis production capacity and to solve bootlenecks/constraints

• To lead GPDS project management milestones,

• To lead Healt&safety, quality, efficiency, environement proceses,

• To perform P-FMEA process

• To give feedback to Manufacturing Enginnering for investment budget

• Understanding the SCCAF, ISO9001, PVS, line balancing, ergo, safety, WERS, FOX processes,

• Preparing the technical specifications of the projects and to perform the capex process,

• Work closely with VOME team,

• Preparing the process diagrams, operation sheets ang control plans,

• To audit QPSs and risk analysis

• Understanding the problem solving methods (6sigma etc..) and to develop the team,

• Understanding the energy saving and re-cycling methots.

Able to review and interpret layouts and have a command of the process flow

Basic Mathematical modeling and simulation programming knowledge

• Knowledge of vehicle operations and the operation of the factory (T&D, Stamping, Bodyshop, Paint Shop, Assembly, Quality Assurance, Central Maintenance)

• Knowledge of ISO quality systems to guide

• Knowledgeable in Project Management

• MS Office applications, EBA and MKS, BI reporting screens

• Proficient in Problem Solving Methods

• Knowledge of line simulation
