Job Post – Foreman

Department: Machine shop (Production)

Location: Hassan Abdal
Reports To: Manager Production

Purpose of the Position:

The purpose of this position is to oversee shop-floor operations, guide and train workers, address and escalate operational issues, and ensure effective communication between staff and management. The role also supports the implementation of QHSE standards in coordination with the QHSE department.

Key Responsibilities

Cost of production:

On ongoing basis, work towards reduction of costs involved in machine shop like wastage cost, cost of consumables – electricity / power, machine scrap, tool consumption, re-work etc.,

Delivery adherence:

Enhance adherence to the machine occupation plan and delivery timeline set by the department to achieve the delivery date.

Quality product: -

Develop and implement foolproof processes to ensure quality product is delivered to the customer.

Internal process: -

Verify the first piece of every lot.

Supervise the work in the machine shop for the shift, resolve worker issues and ensure provision of required resources/ tools.

Supervise the fixture settings on the machines by the workers.

Verification of jigs for drilling jobs.

Verify the stamp transfer and identification code for the traceability of material.

Implementation & control of in-process operations, which includes stamp punching on each component by the operator.

Internal process improvements for quality and productivity enhancement.

Work order creation for maintenance tasks.

Learning and Training: -

Train workers on machine operations (esp. CNC machines) and make them aware of the cost / QHSE management concepts.

Enhance multi skill levels of workers for flexibility and effective capacity utilization.

HSE: -

Ensure the use of PPEs as per control measures defined in risk assessment sheet

Timely information of incidents to concerned personnel and department.

Ensure implementation of HSE protocols within production Department
