Forensic Accountant

About the Role - Analysing financial data across a wide range of industry sectors. Your work may include investigations, quantification of loss, resolving coverage issues and negotiating settlement between Insurers and Policyholders. The role will include financial data analysis and interpretation and financial modelling and forecasting various scenarios after the occurrence of a loss.

Responsibilities -

• Work both externally and internally assessing Business Interruption, Fidelity Guarantee and Stock claims.
• Receiving and reviewing and analysing financial information.
• Preparing reports commenting in detail on the review and conclusion of analytical work.
• Visiting Insurers, Reinsurers and Policyholders.
• Communicating regularly with all interested parties, calculating and approving interim payments, preparing interim reports and other communication.
• Calculating and agreeing settlement of claims and preparing final reports.
• Additionally developing working relationships with existing clients and helping to identify and plan approaches to new clients.
• Maintain and update files and records keeping fully up to date on any technical or legal changes which may have a bearing on a case.
• Identifying and developing business opportunities for self and team.

• Qualifications - Accounting Qualification – ACCA/CPA/ACA equivalent.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years’ experience as a Forensic Accountant.
• Experience in claims handling and/or insurance-related work.
• High attention to detail.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proven dispute resolution skills, with the ability to manage cases effectively and proactively
• Ability to demonstrate high attention to detail

• Ability to work on own initiative and within a team environment.
• Good Excel skills.
