Forklift Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and other material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and preventive servicing of forklifts (electric, diesel, and LPG).
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Repair or replace defective parts such as motors, brakes, steering systems, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot battery systems and charging equipment (for electric forklifts).
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain service records and report maintenance activities.
• Respond promptly to breakdown calls and minimize operational downtime.
• Order and manage spare parts inventory when required.

Requirements:

• Diploma or certification in Mechanical / Automotive Technology (preferred).
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a forklift or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
