Forklift Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team in the wood industry, specializing in unloading shipping containers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient and careful handling of wood products, ensuring proper unloading, stacking, and inventory support in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, or clamp, depending on equipment available)
• Unload wood products from overseas or domestic containers
• Inspect loads for damage or inconsistencies upon arrival
• Stack and store materials in designated areas using forklifts or pallet jacks
• Assist in manual unloading when needed (lifting, shifting bundles)
• Follow proper load securement and handling procedures for heavy/oversized lumber
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a forklift operator (minimum 1 year preferred)
• Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience handling lumber or building materials is a strong asset
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying temperatures
• Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
• Team player with good communication skills

Pay: AED1,700.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
