Job Summary:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating industrial forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, move, and store goods safely and efficiently. The role requires skill, precision, and strict adherence to safety standards to ensure smooth warehouse or site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and pallets.
  • Transport raw materials, finished goods, or equipment to designated storage or work areas.
  • Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance of the forklift.
  • Follow all site safety procedures, including PPE usage and traffic rules.
  • Ensure proper stacking, securing, and labeling of materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory updates.
  • Identify and report equipment faults, damages, or safety hazards.
  • Assist in other warehouse or yard duties when required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School / ITI / Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid Forklift Operating License (5-ton / 16-ton as required).
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a forklift operator (preferably in warehouse or construction).
  • Knowledge of forklift operations, load limits, and safety practices.
  • Basic understanding of English (reading and speaking).
  • Good coordination, alertness, and attention to detail.
