Forklift Operator – Plastic Manufacturing
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse and production operations in a plastic manufacturing facility producing pallets, crates, plastic bags. The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely moving raw materials, finished goods, molds, and packaging materials between production, storage, and shipping areas while maintaining inventory accuracy and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload raw materials such as plastic resin, packaging materials, and additives.
- Transport finished products including plastic pallets, crates, bags, and bottles to warehouse or dispatch areas.
- Supply production lines with required materials on time.
- Stack and store products properly to prevent damage.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and basic maintenance checks.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory procedures.
- Assist in warehouse organization and housekeeping activities.
- Scan, label, and record inventory movements accurately.
- Support loading of delivery trucks and container shipments.
- Follow company safety policies, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
- Report equipment faults, damages, or safety hazards immediately.
- Coordinate with production supervisors, warehouse staff, and quality teams.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid forklift operator license/certification.
- Minimum 1–3 years of forklift operating experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
- Experience in plastic manufacturing industry preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and material handling.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in hot manufacturing environments.
- Basic understanding of inventory and stock control.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends if required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with palletizing and shrink-wrapping operations.
- Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems.
- Ability to operate reach trucks or clamp forklifts.
- Knowledge of plastic products handling and storage requirements.
Pay: AED1,200.00 - AED1,500.00 per month
