Formulation Technician

Primary Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

• Assist Formulator:

o Support the formulator in various formulation and packaging activities.
o Execute tasks as directed by the formulator.
o Confirm raw materials per Manufacturing Order.

• Follow Formulation Procedures:

o Adhere to established formulation procedures and protocols.
o Ensure accurate measurement and mixing of ingredients.

• Follow Packaging Procedures:

o Comply with packaging protocols to ensure product integrity per QC instructions.
o Operate packaging machinery as per guidelines.

• Good Housekeeping:

o Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
o Dispose of waste materials properly and promptly.
o Dispose of PPE properly.

• Product Handling:

o Perform filling, check weights, and seal containers.
o Inspect finished products and packaging for irregularities.

• Safety Compliance:

o Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
o Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Basic Math Skills:

o Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
o Proficiency in measuring and calculating quantities accurately.

• Attention to Detail:

o Strong observational skills to ensure accuracy in formulation and packaging.
o Ability to identify and correct errors in the production process.

• Communication Skills:

o Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
o Capability to follow instructions and protocols precisely.

• Physical Requirements:

o Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
o Capacity to lift and move materials as required.
o Ability to operate a forklift and perform physical tasks related to equipment setup and maintenance.
o May require Forklift Certification.
o Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
o Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
o Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including Respiratory Protection
o Ability to perform a variety of tasks on wet or slippery work surfaces.
o Ability to walk or climb stairs or ladders frequently.

• Safety Awareness:

o Knowledge of and adherence to safety protocols.
o Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.

• Teamwork:

o Ability to work collaboratively with the formulator and other team members.
o Flexibility to assist in various tasks as needed.
