Formulations Technician

Job Description

  • In compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, cGMP guidelines and all regulatory standards, performs, interprets, troubleshoots and documents laboratory tests and procedures in a production environment, including a wide variety of analytical testing using manual and automated methods and procedures.

  • Performs calibration on production equipment.

  • Documents test results/procedures/processes.

  • May write experiment reports, summaries and protocols.

  • Formulate products in a safe, compliant manner to published SOPs, WI, and recipes.

  • Primary formulation specialist for large tank formulations, in excess of 100-2000 L fill volume.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Requires higher education or specialized training/certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a scientific, lab based major.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience for entry to this level.

  • Experience using analytical balances with limits in the sub milligram range.

  • Experience working in a laboratory environment and handling open chemicals.

  • Prior formulation experience necessary.

  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $30.69 - $47.96/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
