Dreamers Junior Versity is seeking an exceptional certified elementary teacher to become our Founding First Grade Lead Teacher for our inaugural school year.

This is more than a teaching position—it’s an opportunity to help build a relationship-centered private online elementary school where every student is known, every family is supported, and every dream matters.

Compensation

• $30.00 per hour
• W-2 Employee
• Paid biweekly
• Approximately 25 paid hours per week
• Approximately 15 students maximum
• Part-time position

Weekly Schedule

Monday–Friday

8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Student instructional hours include:

• Morning meeting
• Live attendance
• Approximately 2 hours of engaging live teacher-led instruction each day
• Guided independent learning blocks
• Monitoring student progress
• Supporting individual student learning
• End-of-day classroom wrap-up

Student Success Block

Thursdays

1:00 PM – Up to 3:00 PM

This dedicated weekly block may include:

• Individual student tutoring
• Small-group intervention
• Student progress review
• Lesson preparation
• Professional collaboration
• School meetings
• Professional development

The Student Success Block lasts up to two hours each Thursday based on student and school needs. If no additional responsibilities are scheduled, the teacher’s workday may conclude earlier.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging virtual instruction aligned with the Dreamers Junior Versity instructional model.
• Create an encouraging, engaging virtual classroom where students feel supported and challenged.
• Monitor student academic progress and provide instructional support during live learning.
• Provide instructional support and intervention when appropriate.
• Participate in weekly Student Success Block activities.
• Review provided curriculum and prepare for weekly instruction.
• Collaborate with the Family Success Team by sharing important student updates.
• Foster confidence, leadership, curiosity, and a love of learning.

What You Won’t Be Responsible For

One of the biggest advantages of teaching at Dreamers Junior Versity is being able to focus on teaching.

Teachers are not primarily responsible for:

• Creating curriculum from scratch
• Developing daily lesson plans
• Managing ongoing parent communication
• Assigning traditional nightly homework
• Building classroom materials from the ground up

Our Family Success Team partners with families so teachers can spend more time doing what they do best—teaching.

Qualifications

• Valid Georgia Elementary Education teaching certification preferred.
• Experience teaching elementary-aged students preferred.
• Comfortable teaching in a virtual environment.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Passion for relationship-centered instruction.
• Organized, dependable, and self-motivated.
• Comfortable using educational technology.
• Excited about helping build a new school from the ground up.
