This position sits at the intersection of law, democracy, media, technology, and public trust, serving as the principal legal architect responsible for safeguarding Engage60’s mission to deliver unbiased, fact-based civic intelligence at national scale.

This role is not transactional. It is foundational.

The Legal Advisor ensures Engage60 operates not merely within the law—but as a gold standard for lawful, ethical, and constitutionally aligned civic platforms worldwide.

Core Mandate

  • Defend Engage60’s constitutional integrity to ensure unwavering compliance with First Amendment principles, press protections, fair use doctrine, and freedom of information standards while preventing partisan capture, censorship risk, or regulatory exposure.
  • Design the Legal Framework for Civic Intelligence
  • Build the legal backbone for an entirely new category: AI-powered civic intelligence platforms. This includes governance structures, editorial independence safeguards, data ethics standards, and public accountability mechanisms.
  • Protect Public Trust & Senior Leadership at scale

  • Architect of Engage60’s Legal Trust Infrastructure, including:
  • Editorial independence covenants
  • Non-partisan governance frameworks
  • Conflict-of-interest and integrity policies
  • Public transparency and accountability standards
  • Strategic advisor during fundraising, partnerships, and public expansion, ensuring Engage60 remains:

  • Evaluate and mitigate legal risk related to:
  • User-generated content
  • AI-generated analysis
  • Public-facing civic insights
  • Serve as a confidential counselor to leadership during moments of political, legal, or public pressure
  • Protect Senior Management, CEO, and all Senior Advisors from legal, regulatory, and reputational exposure
  • Help position Engage60 as a model platform regulators reference—not challenge

Ideal Background

  • A senior attorney or former partner with deep experience in:
  • Constitutional law
  • Media & press law
  • Technology platforms
  • Regulatory policy
  • A former:
  • Federal or state constitutional advisor
