Fountain Designer- Water Features Only

Water Fountain Designer creates decorative, musical, architectural, and interactive fountain systems for public spaces, hotels, malls, parks, resorts, and private developments. The role combines creativity, engineering, hydraulics, lighting, and construction coordination to design visually impressive and technically reliable water features.

Key Responsibilities

• Design water fountains, water features, and show fountains
• Prepare concept sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings
• Develop hydraulic and piping layouts
• Select pumps, nozzles, filters, valves, and control systems
• Coordinate fountain lighting and multimedia effects
• Work with architects, landscape designers, and MEP engineers
• Ensure compliance with safety and local regulations
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and technical specifications
• Supervise installation and testing on-site
• Troubleshoot fountain performance issues
• Manage project timelines and client presentations

Required Skills

• Fountain hydraulics and water system design
• AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or Rhino
• Knowledge of pumps, filtration, and plumbing systems
• Understanding of electrical and lighting integration
• 3D visualization and rendering skills
• Project coordination and site supervision
• Creativity and aesthetic design sense
• Problem-solving and technical detailing

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in:
• Mechanical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Architecture
• Landscape Architecture
• Industrial Design
• Experience in fountain or aquatic feature projects
• Knowledge of DMX/music synchronization systems is a plus
