FP&A Analyst - Pune

Description


We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team at Davies. This role will play a key part in supporting strategic decision-making through high-quality financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across the business. The FP&A Analyst will partner with senior stakeholders to deliver insightful financial analysis, improve reporting processes, and help drive profitable growth.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans across multiple business units.
  • Produce monthly management reports, including variance analysis versus budget and forecast.
  • Deliver financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide business-facing financial insight.
  • Track key financial and performance KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support pricing, margin analysis, and cost control initiatives.
  • Improve FP&A processes, controls, and reporting automation.
  • Assist with board, leadership, and investor reporting where required.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis and projects as the business continues to grow.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise


  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in FP&A, Financial Analysis or Commercial Finance
  • Previously worked in a shared services environment
  • Bachelors degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting / Economics or related
  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICWA) preferred but not essential.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, is an advantage
  • Knowledge of financial accounting, process, and systems. Good working knowledge and experience of ERP’s
  • Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical Thinking - acquiring a proper understanding of a problem or situation by breaking it down systematically into its component parts and identifying the relationships & linkages between processes.
  • Ability to set clear priorities and objectives.
