Fractional CFO

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and strategic Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to partner with organizations seeking expert financial leadership on a flexible, part-time basis. As a key member of the leadership team, you will drive financial strategy, oversee complex accounting functions, and provide critical insights to support sustainable growth. Your role will be instrumental in guiding companies through financial planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance, ensuring they achieve their fiscal objectives with confidence. Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Oversee corporate accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and other relevant standards such as ASC 606 and COSO frameworks.
  • Manage risk analysis and risk management initiatives to safeguard assets and optimize operational resilience.
  • Lead regulatory reporting processes, including governmental accounting and compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements.
  • Supervise treasury management activities such as cash flow forecasting, expense control, cost management, and supply chain finance.
  • Facilitate mergers & acquisitions by conducting due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration planning to support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Write detailed financial reports and interpret complex financial data to inform executive decision-making; present insights clearly to senior leadership and board members.
  • Oversee revenue cycle management, revenue recognition policies, and profit & loss analysis to maximize profitability.
  • Provide leadership in business development efforts by analyzing market trends, conducting market analysis, and identifying new opportunities for expansion.
  • Manage payroll processes including payroll management and compliance with tax regulations; ensure accurate expense management and cost control measures are in place.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, and strategic planning within diverse organizational contexts.
  • Deep understanding of financial concepts such as fiscal management, revenue management, profit & loss statements, and cost control strategies.
  • Proven expertise in technical accounting standards including GAAP, IFRS, IAS, ASC 606, COSO frameworks, and governmental accounting practices.
  • Strong knowledge of SOX compliance requirements along with experience in risk analysis and risk management strategies.
  • Skilled in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, budget development, and financial report writing & interpretation.
  • Proficiency with financial software tools used for accounting automation and data analysis; familiarity with supply chain finance is a plus.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills combined with business development acumen to foster growth opportunities.
  • Leadership capabilities demonstrated through supervising teams or managing cross-functional projects; adept at strategic decision-making at senior levels.
