Fractional In-House Counsel (Business, Contracts, and International Trade) Vision Elite Athletics LLC / Hoop Connect Compensation: $300/month Hours: 3–5 hours per month Location: Remote (Open to any U.S. state) --- About Us: Vision Elite Athletics and Hoop Connect operate national youth basketball leagues, apparel, and event management businesses. Our operations include domestic and international manufacturing partnerships, including importing apparel and uniforms from overseas suppliers. We’re seeking a fractional in-house counsel to provide ongoing legal guidance on business operations, contracts, international trade, and risk management. --- Position Overview: This is a part-time, contract-based role ideal for a licensed attorney seeking consistent monthly work with flexibility. You’ll act as our on-call legal advisor for approximately 3–5 hours per month, assisting with both domestic business matters and international sourcing compliance. --- Responsibilities: Review and draft contracts (vendor, partnership, and independent contractor agreements) Provide legal insight on business structure, compliance, and liability matters Advise on international trade and import/export compliance, including customs, tariffs, and product labeling requirements Review supplier and manufacturing agreements with overseas vendors (e.g., Alibaba manufacturers) Advise on trademark and intellectual property filings related to branded apparel Review policies, waivers, and insurance coverage for events and operations Communicate legal recommendations directly with company leadership --- Qualifications: Licensed attorney (active and in good standing in any U.S. state) 2+ years of experience in business, contract, or international trade law preferred Familiarity with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, product liability, and import documentation a plus Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to provide practical, business-focused advice --- Details: Compensation: $300 monthly retainer Commitment: 3–5 hours per month Contract Type: 1099 (independent contractor) Work Location: Remote
