Freelance 3D Designer – Experiential & Events (SketchUp Specialist)

About the Role

We’re hiring on behalf of one of the region’s top experiential and event marketing agencies – the people behind immersive brand experiences, standout event environments, and head-turning activations.

We’re looking for a freelance 3D Designer who lives and breathes SketchUp and knows how to turn a creative brief into a space people remember long after the event is over.

If your SketchUp files are cleaner than most people’s desktop and you love building smart, realistic event environments, this one’s for you.

What You’ll Do

• Conceptualize and design 3D environments for events, exhibitions, pop-ups, and experiential activations using SketchUp as your primary tool.
• Develop detailed 3D models, layouts, and visualizations for stages, booths, installations, and full event spaces.
• Work closely (and quickly) with creative, production, and client servicing teams to turn ideas into feasible, production-ready designs.
• Prepare presentation-ready visuals (views, layouts, and basic renders) that clearly communicate the concept to internal teams and clients.
• Iterate on designs based on feedback while maintaining the core idea, functionality, and brand alignment.
• Ensure your designs respect practical constraints – venue dimensions, build feasibility, safety, and budgets.
• Stay on top of experiential and event design trends, materials, and fabrication methods to keep concepts fresh and relevant.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience in 3D design for events, exhibitions, or experiential marketing (agency or freelance).
• Expert-level proficiency in SketchUp
• A solid portfolio showcasing 3D work for events, activations, exhibitions, or environments (links or PDF required).
• Good understanding of event production, materials, fabrication, and how things are actually built.
• Strong eye for detail, proportion, space planning, and visual impact.
• Ability to self-manage as a freelancer – stick to timelines, communicate clearly, and handle multiple projects when needed.
• Comfortable presenting and explaining your concepts to non-design stakeholders.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
