Freelance Business Development Officer, you will be responsible for driving the sales of the company’s service packages, including ERP software, digital solutions, and other business tools, specifically targeting builders and construction professionals. This is a freelance position, where you will work independently to identify, engage, and secure sales with new and existing builder clients. You will have the flexibility to manage your time while working towards sales targets and building long-term relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Client Acquisition
  • Independently identify and approach potential builders, contractors, and construction firms to promote and sell the company’s service packages.
  • Conduct virtual or in-person meetings, presentations, and demos to explain the value of the service offerings (ERP solutions, software, etc.).
  • Close sales and secure long-term subscriptions and renewals for services.
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with builder clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term engagement.
  • Provide excellent customer service and be the primary point of contact for client inquiries during the sales process.
  • Encourage renewals and continued business through proactive follow-ups and relationship building.
  • Sales Target Achievement
  • Meet or exceed set sales targets for service package sales, working on your own schedule as a freelance professional.
  • Track and report on sales progress and ensure consistent pipeline management.
  • Market Research & Feedback
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities within the construction sector.
  • Gather client feedback and market insights to help improve the sales strategy and product offerings.
  • Independent Work & Flexibility
  • Manage your time and sales activities independently, maintaining accountability for meeting sales objectives.
  • Collaborate with the internal team as needed, but operate largely independently to drive sales.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the software or service industry (ERP solutions or construction-related products).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to manage your time and work independently as a freelancer.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and basic understanding of ERP software or digital business solutions.
  • Ability to work remotely, set your schedule, and manage your freelance work efficiently.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of service packages sold and contracts secured.
  • Achievement of monthly or quarterly sales targets.
  • Client retention and renewal rate for long-term service agreements.
