Freelance construction manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Construction Manager to oversee high-rise construction projects from site execution through completion. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience managing cranes, site logistics, and labor coordination in dense urban environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities for high-rise projects
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise crane operations, including lift planning and scheduling
• Oversee site logistics, material flow, deliveries, and laydown areas
• Coordinate and manage labor crews, subcontractors, and trade sequencing
• Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Monitor productivity, quality, and safety compliance on site
• Conduct site meetings and coordinate with engineers, consultants, and inspectors
• Identify and resolve construction issues efficiently to avoid delays
• Maintain daily reports, schedules, and progress updates

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager on high-rise projects
• Strong background in crane operations and vertical construction logistics
• Demonstrated ability to manage labor forces and multiple subcontractors
• Solid understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and safety standards
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently in a freelance/contract role

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal education in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• OSHA or relevant safety certifications
• Experience working in urban or constrained-site environments
