Role Description

This is a contract role for a Freelance Contributor. The successful candidate will research and write engaging articles on environmental issues in Latin America, collaborate closely with the editorial team, and meet publication deadlines. Responsibilities also include fact-checking, sourcing reliable information, and maintaining the high editorial standards of EcoAméricas. Additional tasks may include interviewing experts, analyzing reports, and contributing to the development of the publication’s content strategy.

Qualifications

• Strong writing, storytelling, and research skills
• Ability to conduct effective interviews and extract relevant insights
• Attention to detail for fact-checking, proofreading, and editing
• Knowledge of environmental issues in Latin America or experience in environmental journalism
• Fluency in English and Spanish for writing and research purposes
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a professional setting
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Environmental Studies, or a related field
• Prior experience as a journalist or contributor to publications is a plus
