Freelance IT Specialist – Email Backup & Automation

We are seeking a skilled Freelance IT Specialist focused on Email Backup & Automation to support our clients' IT infrastructure remotely. This role involves providing expert technical support, managing computer systems, and automating email backup processes to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in various operating systems, networking, and IT support tools, delivering exceptional service and solutions tailored to client needs.

Duties

• Provide technical support for email backup solutions and automation processes across different platforms.
• Manage computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software troubleshooting to resolve issues efficiently.
• Configure and maintain network components including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and other IT infrastructure elements.
• Support desktop support tasks such as installing, updating, and troubleshooting hardware and software.
• Utilize IT service management tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, and Jira to track incidents and manage workflows.
• Assist with help desk operations by providing timely resolution of user issues related to email systems and network connectivity.
• Automate email backup procedures using scripting or specialized tools to enhance data security and recovery processes.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored IT solutions while maintaining high customer service standards.

Experience

• Proven experience in technical support roles involving computer management, networking, and system administration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and desktop support environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewalls, and LAN troubleshooting.
• Experience with IT support tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira for incident tracking and workflow management.
• Strong understanding of software troubleshooting techniques across various platforms.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure components including hardware maintenance and network security measures.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively assist users and collaborate with team members on complex technical issues.
