Freelance Reporter - Gardening, Plants/Horticulture, Homesteading

Freelance part-time reporter needed to cover stories on gardening, horticulture/plants, homesteading and similar subjects for newly launched publication in St. Augustine, Fl.

Assignment:

- Pitch stories to editor, with focus on Florida-related gardening/horticulture/homesteading

- Submit 2 feature-length stories (550+ words) per week, or 1 feature and 2 short write-ups (200-550 words) per week

- Research subjects/background for assigned coverage

Requirements:

- Journalism experience required

- Must be thorough and detail-oriented

- Knowledge and application of AP style

Submit two writing samples or a link to portfolio/published work with application.

Flat rate –

$100/week

Pay: $100.00 per week
