Position Overview
Our client, a well known insurance company, is looking for a freelance Senior Technical Scrum Master to lead delivery for enterprise data and analytics teams. You'll guide two Agile teams building BI and cloud data solutions, ensuring predictable delivery, strong collaboration, and alignment to business priorities. This is a hands on, highly technical Scrum role in a SAFe environment.
Ideally you can on onsite 2-3x a week in Middle City East, PA.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as Scrum Master for two Agile data teams delivering BI, analytics, and cloud data solutions

Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, coaching teams on Agile and SAFe best practices

Own Program Increment (PI) planning, objectives, roadmap alignment, and dependency management

Partner closely with Product, Architecture, BI, and Engineering teams to drive delivery

Track team metrics, identify and remove blockers, and promote continuous improvement

Support environment readiness, integrations, and release activities

Coordinate effectively with stakeholders, vendors, and production support teams to ensure smooth execution
Qualifications
-
4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a technical, delivery focused environment

Must have: Qualifications Familiarity with cloud data platforms and tools, particularly AWS Redshift

Strong Agile and SAFe experience, including hands on PI planning

Experience supporting data, BI, or analytics platforms

Working knowledge of SQL, Python, and data transformation workflows

Familiarity with Tableau, and SageMaker

Ability to work comfortably with both technical teams and business stakeholders

Hands on experience with Jira and Confluence

Nice to have: Scrum certification, insurance or financial services background
