LionStar Films is a video production house based in Atlanta, Georgia, that works with high-end corporate clients as well as marketing and advertising agencies. We are dedicated to providing the most dynamic and powerful content for our clients. Production services include all Production to Post-Production and everything in between.

This particular project we are hiring for is for edit positions only, also looking for motion graphic artists.

Job Description

We are looking for 20 freelance video editors and 5 motion graphics artists to help out with a quick turn video project where we need to edit 20 short “comedic spoof” videos for a corporate client. Editors will be given storyboards and raw UG footage for a :90 second video that needs to be turned around overnight and will be under the supervision of a Post Production Supervisor.

The ideal candidate has some professional experience (1-5 years) and strong technical and creative skills and is proficient in Premiere and/or After Effects. He or she must be highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work under a tight deadline.

We will be set up in one of the meeting rooms at the Atlas Hotel (across from Harvard Business School) in Boston, Massachusetts. Parking will be reimbursed if used, applicants must be able to provide their own transportation.

This project will take place over 3 evenings of March 17th ,24th and 26th. Pay rate is $600 per session.

We will be starting at 7pm and will go until you are done with your individual video. Based on previous projects that were very similar, we anticipate each video should take around 6 hours to complete, so please be prepared to stay late if needed.

Each editor will be working with different footage that the client will shoot that same day. Objective is to edit their footage using the clients individual vision into a short story that will be no longer than 2 minutes. Videos will need to be edited quickly so that they can be shown during an awards ceremony the next morning. This will be fast paced and requires a very quick turnaround so please only apply if you are very comfortable editing quickly and on your own.

Applicant must provide a current demo reel showing your current work to be considered. Edit stations will be provided with Premiere loaded and ready to go.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Edit a short 2 minute video using UGC that client will shoot that same day and needs to be edited for viewing that next morning.
• Editor is responsible for their transportation to and from location.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-5 years of experience in digital design
• Must be able to work on location
• Strong Adobe Premiere skills
• Strong Adobe After Effects experience is a plus
• Strong creative thinking skills, exhibiting a range of varied styles and techniques
• Able to create high quality content. Speedy editing is non negotiable. Must be efficient.
• Have a good understanding of video formats, compression techniques, and format requirements/constraints.
• Able to absorb creative direction while bringing unique ideas to each project
• Have an understanding of brands and of producing work of a suitable style.
• Able to work independently as well as closely with the creative team.
• Highly organized and pay great attention to detail.
