Freelancer on MEP Planning

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Freelance MEP Planning Engineer to support our projects on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems and specializes in developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules using industry-standard planning tools. This role requires a professional who can work independently, deliver high-quality outputs, and communicate effectively with project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project schedules for MEP works using Primavera or MS Project.
• Review MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs to prepare accurate planning deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, update schedules, and generate weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Identify delays, propose corrective actions, and support recovery plans.
• Coordinate virtually or on-site with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Prepare manpower histograms, progress curves, and planning documentation.
• Support planning for procurement, material delivery schedules, and resource allocation.
• Provide expert advice on project sequencing and MEP execution strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in MEP planning or project control.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in Primavera (mandatory), MS Project, and MS Excel.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing and managing MEP schedules for building or infrastructure projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED7,500.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
