Freight broker

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and manage freight carriers and develop long-term relationships with them.
• Negotiate competitive rates with carriers and ensure timely shipments.
• Coordinate with shippers and carriers to arrange pickup and delivery schedules.
• Monitor shipments in transit and provide real-time updates to clients.
• Resolve shipment issues such as delays, damages, or route changes promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of freight transactions, rates, and contracts.
• Meet weekly and monthly freight volume and revenue targets.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months of experience in US freight brokerage or logistics operations.
• Knowledge of the US transportation market and freight brokerage processes.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with freight management software is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours if required for US time zones.
