About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Freight Broker to join our team. In this role, you will connect shippers with carriers, negotiate competitive rates, and ensure smooth transportation of goods across lanes. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong relationships, and has a proven track record in logistics or brokerage.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, develop, and manage relationships with carriers and shippers.
• Negotiate rates with carriers to maximize profit margins while meeting customer needs.
• Coordinate shipments from pickup to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
• Track loads and provide proactive updates to clients and carriers.
• Resolve issues such as delays, damages, or capacity constraints quickly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, transactions, and communications.
• Identify new business opportunities and grow the book of business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Freight Broker preferred.
• Strong knowledge of transportation industry regulations and market trends.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency with TMS (Transportation Management Systems), load boards, and MS Office.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business a plus).
