Freight Operations Manager

FREIGHT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR:

Location: Abu Dhabi

Job Objective:

The Freight Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and managing end-to-end

freight forwarding activities, ensuring efficient shipment handling, compliance with UAE

regulations, and high-quality customer service. This role involves communication with

carriers, agents, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth movement of import and

export shipments by air, sea, and land.

Leadership qualities to handle a team of 3-4 staff.

Key Responsibilities

1. Shipment Coordination

 Handle air, sea, and land import/export operations from booking to delivery.

 Arrange freight bookings with airlines, shipping lines, and transport companies.

 Coordinate with overseas agents and local suppliers to ensure timely cargo movement.

 Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to customers.

2. Documentation & Compliance

 Prepare and verify shipping documents such as BL/AWB, commercial invoices,

packing lists, COO, delivery orders, manifests, etc.

 Ensure documents comply with UAE customs regulations, port and airport

requirements, and international freight forwarding standards.

 Submit customs documentation through Mirsal 2 / Dubai Trade / Abu Dhabi Trade

when required.

 Maintain accurate records as per company policies and audit requirements.

3. Customer Service

 Act as the primary operational contact for customers.

 Address customer inquiries related to shipment status, documentation, and delivery

timelines.

 Manage service issues, delays, or disruptions proactively.

4. Coordination with Internal & External Stakeholders

 Liaise with warehouse, transport, finance, and sales teams to ensure smooth

operations.

 Ensure timely dispatch of invoices and follow-up on operational charges.

 Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and authorities for operational activities.

5. Operational Efficiency

 Optimize routing and freight costs where possible. Maintain KPIs such as on-time delivery, documentation accuracy, and service quality.

 Support continuous improvement in processes and systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month

• Air , Land and Sea Freight: 2 years (Required)
• Freight Operation : 3 years (Required)
• Abudhabi Freight: 1 year (Required)
