French Teacher for Children

Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced French Teacher for Children to join our in-person teaching team at our Flushing location. The ideal candidate will inspire children ages 6–12 to develop strong language skills and a love for French culture through fun, immersive, and effective lessons.

Responsibilities:

• Teach in-person French language classes to children ages 6–12 at various proficiency levels.
• Create and deliver engaging lesson plans that support language development in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with ClassOver staff to ensure consistency and quality in instruction.
• Maintain attendance records and classroom materials.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience in French (in-person teaching experience preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about teaching and working with children.
• Ability to work in-person at our Flushing, NY location.

Schedule:

• Part-time; flexible hours available on weekdays and weekends.

Compensation:

• $25–$45 per hour.
