Front Desk Agent/Sales Coordinator

Job SummaryThe Front Desk Agent/Sales Coordinator is a hybrid position ideal for someone with front desk experience and a passion for hospitality sales. This role requires a welcoming, professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will participate in front desk operations and provide a high level of customer service to your guest, while also leading the inside and outside sales with group bookings and client communication. This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity to grow in both operations and sales, ensuring seamless guest experiences and strong client relationships.

Tuesdays – Saturdays: 10:00am -6:00pm or as needed

$18.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
Front Desk Duties:

· Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.

· Daily front desk operations, including check-in/check-out, reservations, and guest inquiries, while following brand standards.

· Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.

· Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure coordinated service delivery.

· Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.

· Provide front desk shift coverage and review daily arrivals/departures for potential sales leads.

· Follow all company policies, procedures and night audit protocols.

Sales Coordinator Duties:

· Conduct Inside and Outside Sales calls/activities to promote hotel services.

· Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, groups and potential clients.

· Generate leads, conduct follow-ups, and close sales opportunities.

· Serve as the point of contact for group and business inquiries.

· Prepare proposals and contracts.

· Promote brand awareness internally and externally.

· Input and track commission, leads, and third-party information in relevant systems.

· Answer guest questions regarding hotel services, amenities, and promotions.

Qualifications

· Previous experience in a front desk or hotel sales, and HotelKey PMS preferred.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (TEAMS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with guests, team members, and leadership.

· Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

· Schedule can include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

· Ability to work independently and adapt to changing business needs.

· Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

· Valid State of Illinois Driver’s License
