Front Desk Ambassador

At Renaissance Chicago O’Hare Suites Hotel, our Front Desk Ambassadors are more than just the first point of contact — they’re the heartbeat of the guest experience. From the moment our guests arrive, you’ll set the tone with a warm, authentic welcome that reflects the vibrant energy of our all-suite hotel and the spirit of discovery that defines the Renaissance brand.

As a Front Desk Ambassador, you help create a check-in experience that is seamless, personalized, and memorable. You know how to read the guest — whether they’re traveling for business, attending a nearby convention, or simply enjoying a weekend escape — and tailor your approach accordingly. You’ll also act as a local expert, sharing insights into hidden gems around Rosemont and the greater Chicago area.

Must be available to work weekends and holidays, AM and PM availability as needed.

Prior hospitality or front desk experience is preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities

· Greet guests warmly, handle check-in/check-out, and deliver a memorable first and last impression.

· Address guest concerns quickly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.

· Manage reservations, process payments, and handle billing inquiries.

· Act as a local expert, offering tailored suggestions for dining, attractions, and experiences.

· Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs.

· Promote and enroll guests in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program.

Other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours or more).
  • Ability to walk, bend, stoop, and reach as needed to perform front desk and guest service duties.
  • Occasionally required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs (e.g., packages, guest luggage when needed).
  • Must be able to use hands/fingers to operate computers, phones, and other front desk equipment.
  • May need to move quickly in response to guest needs or emergencies.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and grooming standard in line with brand guidelines.
