Position Overview

The Union League is seeking a professional, service-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our team. As the first point of contact for members and guests, the Front Desk Agent plays a key role in delivering an exceptional hospitality experience. This position is responsible for welcoming members and guests, managing check-ins and reservations, handling inquiries, and ensuring smooth front desk operations in a private club environment.

Due to the nature of club operations, candidate must be available to work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays, and there is potential cross-training and scheduling for Night Audit responsibilities when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet members, guests, and visitors warmly while maintaining the club’s high standard of hospitality.
  • Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct requests to the appropriate departments.
  • Assist members with reservations for guest rooms, dining, and club amenities.
  • Maintain accurate records of reservations, billing, and member information.
  • Handle guest concerns or service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, security, and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Process payments and maintain balanced cash and transaction records.
  • Support Night Audit duties when scheduled, including overnight front desk coverage, system balancing, and reporting.
  • Uphold the privacy, security, and exclusivity standards expected in a private club setting.

Schedule Requirements

  • Evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.
  • Flexible availability is essential due to the club’s operating hours.
  • Overnight/Night Audit shifts may be required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality, hotel front desk, or customer service preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Familiarity with hotel/property management systems (JONAS) is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality training or degree preferred.
