Front Desk Coordinator – Qualifications & Requirements1. Education & Experience
- Educational Background: Minimum of a High School Diploma; a Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or Communications is a plus.[1]
- Professional Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a front desk, reception, or customer service role (ideally in the hospitality, cinema, or retail sector).
- Availability: Must be flexible to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays (standard for the cinema industry).
2. Communication Skills (Expanded)
- English Proficiency: Excellent command of both written and spoken English. Must be able to draft professional emails and communicate clearly with international guests.
- Multilingualism: Proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage in the Qatar market to assist local guests.
- Phone Etiquette: Ability to handle a multi-line telephone system with a professional and helpful tone.
3. Technical & Administrative Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite: High proficiency in MS Word (for reports/memos), MS Excel (for tracking and data entry), and Outlook (for professional email management).
- Information Management: Experience in managing and filing digital and physical records with high attention to detail.
- Fast Typing: Ability to accurately input data while simultaneously interacting with guests.
- POS/Booking Systems: (Optional but preferred) Familiarity with cinema booking software or Point of Sale (POS) systems.
4. Professional Attributes & Soft Skills
- Grooming & Presentation: Must maintain a neat, professional, and well-groomed appearance at all times as the "face" of the cinema.
- Conflict Resolution: Strong ability to remain calm and polite when dealing with guest complaints or high-pressure situations.
- Multitasking: Proven ability to manage a busy reception area, handle guest inquiries, and complete administrative tasks simultaneously.
- Customer-First Mindset: A proactive attitude toward guest needs, ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and valued
