Front Desk Dental Receptionist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires proficiency in medical terminology, scheduling, and office management to ensure smooth operations and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the clinic.
  • Manage multi-line phone systems, answering calls promptly and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently using EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth.
  • Perform insurance verification and assist with medical billing processes, including CPT coding and ICD-10 coding.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, typing, and managing correspondence.
  • Support medical administrative functions including care plans and patient intake processes.
  • Provide bilingual support when necessary to enhance patient communication.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient service and office management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Front Desk Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as eClinicalWorks or Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance processes, and coding (ICD-9/ICD-10).
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to handle clerical duties efficiently while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
