Front Desk Dental Receptionist

We are looking for an organized, hard working and positive individual to work in our small, privately owned dental offices (Downtown Orlando & Sanford). The ideal candidate for this position will be able to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks and will be willing to be cross trained in other departments. Some of the tasks include: professionally answering phones and directing calls as necessary, greeting patients, updating patient charts, verifying insurances, creating treatment plans and accepting payment from patients, assisting with past due accounts and following up on insurance claims, and marketing. In this role ,you will be dealing directly with patients, so you must be able to communicate effectively and conduct yourself in a friendly and professional manner. Must have reliable transportation in order to commute to both of our locations (Downtown Orlando & Sanford). We are in our Downtown location all day on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. Wednesday we are in our Sanford location all day. Fridays are split days; we are Downtown for the morning and go to Sanford in the afternoon.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome patients.
Answer incoming calls.
Provide basic and accurate information, both in person and over the phone.
Verify patient's insurance and document information on dental software.
Create and present treatment plans to patients.
Submit claims and re-evaluate rejected claims.

Work accounts receivables to collect past due balances from patients and insurance companies.

Check in and check out of patients.

Marketing to include ordering and delivering lunch for referring dentists, creating marketing materials, and travel to referring dentists' offices on a quarterly basis.

Perform other clerical duties as necessary, such as filing, photocopying, scanning, faxing, check daily company outlook mail, etc.

Help the Office Manager with misc. projects as needed.

Skills
Must be computer literate and comfortable working with computers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (mainly Word and Excel).
Hands on experience with office equipment, such as printers, fax machines, etc.
Exceptional written and verbal communication.
Professional attitude and appearance.
Ability to multi-task.
Work in a timely and effective manner.
Resourceful and proactive.
Great organizational and communication skills.

Experience
Dental Office: 3-5 years (preferred)

Customer service: 3+ Year

Computer skills: 2+ Year

Language
English is a must, additional languages are a bonus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
