About the Role
We’re looking for a warm, dependable, and guest-focused Front Desk Host to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the face of the hotel—greeting guests, assisting with their needs, and helping create memorable experiences. Ideal candidates are confident communicators, quick thinkers, and love engaging with people from all walks of life.
Our creative, laid-back work environment is a great fit for someone who’s detail-oriented, self-motivated, and excited to grow with an independently owned hospitality brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Check-In & Check-Out: Welcome guests, process credit card transactions, issue room codes, and provide hotel information
- Communication: Respond promptly and warmly to guest inquiries via phone, text, email, and in person
- Problem Solving: Address guest concerns calmly and professionally, turning challenges into positive experiences
- Common Area Upkeep: Keep the front desk and shared spaces clean, organized, and inviting
- House Operations: Support coordination with housekeeping and complete light administrative tasks or errands
- Local Knowledge: Share thoughtful, tailored recommendations for dining, activities, and neighborhoods
What You’ll Bring
- Customer Service Experience: Background in hospitality or customer-facing roles strongly preferred
- Communication Skills: You’re approachable, easy to talk to, and confident handling both compliments and complaints
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using computers and learning new systems quickly
- Reliability & Flexibility: Available for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Physical Readiness: Able to lift/push/pull items up to 50 lbs and perform light physical tasks as needed
- Professionalism: Tidy appearance and a calm, friendly demeanor that puts guests at ease
