Front Desk Medical Receptionist

Job description:

This position will have responsibility for:

  • Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone
  • Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues
  • Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling
  • Notifying providers of patient arrivals and monitoring patient wait times
  • Ensuring availability of treatment information by accurately inputting and and updating patient information into the electronic medical record
  • Verifying insurance and financial information and collecting patient co-payments
Requirements:


Skills and Experience:

  • High School or equivalent
  • Two or more years Medical Office Front Desk experience required
  • Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service focus
  • AthenaHealth EMR experience strongly preferred
