Our established Northridge medical practice is seeking a professional and organized Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency with office management tools. This role involves managing front desk operations, handling multi-line phone systems, and supporting administrative functions to ensure smooth daily operations. Duties
- Patient Advocacy:
- Act as the first point of contact, greet visitors and clients warmly, providing exceptional customer service,
- Managing incoming calls with a service-first mindset
- Manage multi-line phone systems, screen calls, and direct inquiries appropriately,
- Assist with customer support inquiries via phone or email
•_ Workflow Management:_
- Utilize our EMR system to schedule and streamline appointments and patient records,
- Use software such as Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) as well as other office management tools,
- Perform clerical tasks including typing, photocopying, data entry, filing, and document proofreading to ensure accuracy and organization
- Support bookkeeping and basic bookkeeping tasks as needed
- Support administrative tasks such as proofing documents, managing correspondence, and supporting office management activities
- Maintain a professional reception area that reflects the company's standards
• Clinical Support:
- Collaborate closely with medical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience
- Maintain office supplies
• Efficiency:
- Contribute to a high-energy, productive environment where teamwork is the standard.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED required, as well as a Medical Assistant Diploma
- Proficient in Medical Terminology
- Proven experience (1–2 year) in office administration or clerical roles
- Strong computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and data entry skills
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish fluency is desirable
- Strong typing skills and attention to detail for proofreading and data accuracy
- Ability to manage calendars efficiently and support time management needs of staff
- Previous experience in medical receptionist roles is advantageous but not required
- Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
