The Dapper Dog Salon & Boutique is a stylish, community-focused dog grooming salon and retail shop in the heart of Mill Valley. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and self-motivated Front Desk / Customer Service Associate who loves people, dogs, and providing exceptional service.

Position Overview

This role is the welcoming face of our salon. You’ll manage the front desk and retail area, assist pet parents, coordinate grooming appointments, and act as a key liaison between clients and our grooming team. If you’re organized, upbeat, and thrive in a people-and-pets environment, we’d love to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their dogs with warmth and professionalism

• Schedule and manage grooming appointments

• Serve as a liaison between pet parents and groomers

• Oversee and maintain the retail section of the store

• Recommend and sell grooming and pet care products thoughtfully

• Keep the front of the store clean, tidy, and welcoming

• Handle sales transactions and provide excellent customer service

• Communicate clearly with staff, clients, and the public

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States

• Reliable, self-motivated, and punctual

• Friendly, professional, and comfortable working with dogs

• Strong communication skills with staff and customers

• Organized and detail-oriented

• Able to lift up to 40 lbs if needed (rarely required)

• Sales and customer service experience preferred

• Pet experience is a plus

• Fluent in English; Spanish fluency is a plus but not required

• Strong references preferred

• Reliable transportation to and from work

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
