Front Desk Receptionist

Description:

Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our Mohs Dermatology team. This role is the first point of contact for patients and plays a critical part in providing a seamless, welcoming experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and is comfortable handling administrative tasks in a fast-paced specialty clinic.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and check them in for Mohs dermatology appointments
• Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance information, and co-pays
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments and follow-ups
• Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and route messages appropriately
• Maintain accurate and organized electronic medical records (EMR) and patient files
• Assist with prior authorizations for procedures as needed
• Communicate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care
• Maintain a clean, professional, and organized reception area
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies at all times

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
• Prior experience in medical office reception, patient scheduling, or front desk operations preferred
• Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorizations, and medical billing a plus
• Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Epic, Athenahealth) preferred
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and customer service skills
• Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor
