We are currently seeking an experienced, polished, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist for our Abington location (1494 Old York Road, Abington Pa 19001), with the ability to travel to our Feasterville office (1300 Bridgetown Pike, Feasterville Pa 19053) when needed. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, enjoys helping people, and understands that the front desk sets the tone for the entire patient experience.

Position Overview

The Front Desk Receptionist is often the first and last impression of our practice. This individual must be professional in appearance and communication, warm and approachable, highly organized, and committed to delivering an outstanding patient experience.

Many of our patients arrive feeling anxious or nervous about oral surgery. The right candidate will know how to create calm, confidence, and comfort from the moment a patient enters the office.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • Primary schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Must be available to start at 7:30 AM sharp
  • Cross-training required for checkout coverage:
  • Alternate shift may be 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 40 hours per week
  • Biweekly pay

Compensation

  • $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
  • Based on experience, professionalism, and skill set

Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk / Patient Experience

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
  • Create a welcoming, calm environment for nervous or anxious patients
  • Maintain a polished and professional front desk presence at all times
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in person and by phone

Administrative Duties

  • Check patients in efficiently and accurately
  • Assist with registration forms and intake paperwork
  • Verify demographics and insurance information
  • Collect co-pays and patient payments
  • Schedule consultations, surgeries, and follow-up appointments
  • Confirm appointments and communicate scheduling changes
  • Maintain organized patient flow with providers and clinical team

Communication

  • Answer multi-line phones professionally and efficiently
  • Communicate clearly with patients, referring offices, and team members
  • Handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accuracy in data entry and chart documentation
  • Support teammates and cross-train where needed
  • Float to Feasterville location when operational needs arise
  • Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA standards

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of prior medical or dental front desk / receptionist experience
  • Strong understanding of healthcare front desk workflow
  • Experience with scheduling, insurance verification, patient intake, and payment collection
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Reliable transportation with ability to work in Abington and travel to Feasterville when needed
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
