Job Overview
Front desk hotel agents act as the primary liaison, managing guest check-ins/check-outs, processing payments, and resolving complaints to ensure a positive experience. They handle reservations, coordinate with housekeeping on room readiness, and provide information on hotel services and local attractions. Workable +4Key duties include:
- Guest Service: Greeting guests, issuing keys, providing information, and resolving problems efficiently.
- Administrative/Finance: Processing payments, managing the Property Management System (PMS), and balancing cash drawers.
- Operations Coordination: Liaising with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room availability and cleanliness.
- Reservations: Handling bookings via phone or in-person and managing room assignments.
Shift-Based Duties
- Morning: Focus on check-outs and preparing for departures.
- Afternoon/Evening: Handle high-volume check-ins and walk-ins.
- Night Audit: Run daily reports, balance accounts, and manage overnight requests.
