Front Desk Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Exciting opportunity to work in a wellness and rehab clinic located in Metuchen, NJ. We are seeking a friendly and professional front desk coordinator to be able to grow with our practice.

Receptionist/Administrative Assistant Duties

* Patient Coordinator: this includes but is not limited to the following; patient check-in and check-out, scheduling and rescheduling patient appointments, understanding and relaying patient care plans, understanding and relaying patient insurance information, following up with patients after visits, and managing new patient lead intake through our CRM.

* Front Desk responsibilities: this includes friendly interaction between patients, getting patients scheduled for follow up appointments, messaging and calling patients, and other miscellaneous tasks. Other duties include collecting copays and reconciling daily payments, entering patient information into DrChrono, tracking cancellations and no-reschedule patients, ordering supplies, and light office cleaning duties.

* Content & Canva Support: the right team member will be comfortable using Canva to create branded patient-facing materials including office memos, appointment reminders, and educational handouts. They will also support Instagram content creation for both our Metuchen and Rahway offices by designing graphics and preparing assets per our content calendar. Prior experience with Canva is required.

* The right team member: The right team member must be able to think creatively and be able to problem solve, work efficiently and have strong organizational skills. They will have an understanding of social media and enjoy and look forward to creating content and posts on our platforms using Canva. They will be fully engaged in the unique environment of healthcare and enjoy interacting with both patients and clinicians.

Experience:

* Experience in a chiropractic or similar medical office setting is a must.

* Prior experience with Canva is a must.

* Knowledge and experience in medical billing is a plus.

* Knowledge of HIPAA and labor law is a plus.

* Strong customer service skills

* Skill in using healthcare software and computer systems (DrChrono experience is a plus)

* Multitasking skills

* Problem-solving skills

* Professional communication and presentation skills, including face to face, email, telephone, and video conference.

* Knowledge of continuous process improvement concepts and practices

* Ability to communicate professionally with clinicians, marketing staff, administrative staff, medical billing staff, contractors, governmental agencies, insurance payers, patients, family members of patients, suppliers, and the general public, of all age levels from child to senior citizen.

* Schedule and coordinate patient appointments to optimize client satisfaction and facility efficiency

* Create and update patients' electronic health records

* Maintain total confidentiality of personal and financial data

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
