Front Desk Receptionist/Office Assistant

General Qualifications

All positions require the ability to work cooperatively as a team member within this department and across all departments. Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Employees must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical activities such as walking, sitting, or standing for extended periods of time, as well as pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Some positions may require lifting more than 50 pounds.

While individuals may be hired for a specific role, operational needs may require assisting in other areas or departments as needed.

Front Office Clerk Position Summary

We are seeking pleasant, professional Front Office Clerks to perform registration, receptionist, and clerical duties. As the face of the resort, this role plays a critical part in creating a positive first impression for our guests. Ideal candidates will be friendly, approachable, observant, and organized, with the ability to remain calm and professional while handling guest concerns. A strong customer-service mindset is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office workspace
  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Manage the guest registration process, including check-ins, posting charges, issuing wristbands, and providing car passes to authorized guests and visitors
  • Prepare and stuff registration packets as needed
  • Provide directions and general information about the resort and surrounding area
  • Address guest complaints when possible and escalate issues to the Front Office Supervisor when necessary
  • Operate the resort switchboard, including answering, transferring, and placing calls
  • Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance when issues are reported and document details on log sheets
  • Operate handheld radios and respond to storage and checker radio calls
  • Stand for extended periods of time when required
  • Answer and manage reservation-line calls when assigned
  • Make, modify, and cancel guest reservations
  • Collect, enter, refund, or transfer deposits as appropriate
  • Collect and process payments from storage camper owners
  • Sort and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries
  • Deliver outstanding guest service at all times
  • Foster positive working relationships with team members across all departments
  • Clean the breakroom and empty trash receptacles
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • General computer skills
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as printers and fax machines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Hospitality: 1 year (Preferred)
