Job Overview
A-Better Heat & Air Conditioning, a leading Oklahoma-based HVAC contractor with over 40 years of industry experience, is seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position based in our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma office. As the first point of contact for our valued clients, you will play a crucial role in representing our company's commitment to excellence and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our front office. We are known for our expertise in handling everything from central air conditioning units to ductless mini-splits, and we are looking for an individual who can provide outstanding administrative support to our team of certified technicians.
This role offers a competitive hourly wage of USD $29.00 - $45.00.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for the company, greeting clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Manage a multi-line telephone system, answering, screening, and forwarding incoming calls efficiently.
- Schedule and coordinate service appointments and installations for our team of technicians.
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email, providing accurate information about our services.
- Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence.
- Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area and office environment.
- Assist with the coordination of mail, deliveries, and courier services.
- Provide administrative support to other departments as required to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a front desk, reception, or administrative assistant role.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A positive, customer-focused attitude and a high degree of professionalism.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with the HVAC or a related trade industry is advantageous but not essential.
