Job Responsibilities:

Job Introduction:

The engineer will be responsible for owning the end-to-end delivery of a cloud and web product. Own React-based UI development, collaborate closely with clients and cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and ensure quality, performance, and maintainability across the stack (React, Nest/NodeJS, database design, Azure).

Major Responsibilities:

  • Own the product’s technical delivery and quality, with emphasis on frontend architecture and user experience.

  • Own React/TypeScript development, define component patterns, and establish UI standards/design systems.

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, roadmaps, and release plans.

  • Break down work, create tasks and issues, estimate effort, and drive sprint planning and backlog grooming.

  • Mentor and coach team members; conduct code reviews and uphold best practices.

  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders; manage expectations and communicate progress and risks.

  • Integrate frontend with Nest/NodeJS services; guide API design, contracts, and versioning.

  • Design and review database schemas and data flows; ensure performance, reliability, and security.

  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines; oversee deployments and environments in Azure.

  • Monitor application health and performance; drive observability, incident response, and continuous improvement.

  • Champion accessibility, security, testing, documentation, and maintainability throughout the development lifecycle.

Knowledge and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics or related field; equivalent practical experience considered.

  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure) are an advantage.

Work Experience:

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience.

  • Demonstrated experience owning product modules end-to-end and mentoring engineers in an Agile environment.

Skills and Competencies:

  • React and TypeScript expertise (hooks, state management such as Redux/Zustand, React Router, component library/design system).

  • Strong JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and accessibility (WCAG) fundamentals.

  • Frontend performance optimization (code splitting, caching, memoization, virtualization) and tooling (Vite/Webpack, ESLint, Prettier).

  • Testing for frontend and backend (Jest, React Testing Library) integrated into CI/CD.

  • Node.js/NestJS for REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication/authorization (OAuth2/OIDC, JWT), and robust error handling.

  • Database design and SQL proficiency (Azure SQL/PostgreSQL/MySQL) plus familiarity with NoSQL (Cosmos DB/MongoDB); schema modeling, indexing, migrations; ORM experience (TypeORM/Prisma).

  • Azure services and DevOps: App Service, Key Vault, Application Insights/Monitor; pipelines with GitHub Actions;

  • Security best practices (OWASP Top 10, secure headers, XSS/CSRF prevention, secrets management).

  • Agile delivery, task breakdown, estimation, issue creation/management (Github Projects), and strong stakeholder communication.

  • Ownership and mentoring: setting coding standards, guiding architectural decisions, and fostering a culture of quality and ownership.
