The Front End Developer is responsible for designing and implementing high-quality, responsive user interfaces that power the organization’s image analysis application. Working within an Agile team, this role drives significant impact by developing intuitive, performant, and visually engaging web experiences using JavaScript frameworks, ensuring seamless interaction with complex data and AI-driven image processing features.

This position reports to the engineering manager and is part of the Molecular Devices R&D team and will be fully remote.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Design, develop, and maintain modern, responsive user interfaces for an image analysis application using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Collaborate closely with UX designers, backend developers, and data scientists in an Agile environment to deliver intuitive and performant user experiences.
• Implement dynamic visualizations and interactive image viewing components to support complex image processing workflows.
• Ensure code quality through best practices, including unit testing, code reviews, and performance optimization.
• Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and continuous improvement of the development process.
• Integrate APIs and AI-driven features to enhance user functionality and analytical capabilities.
• Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and propose innovative solutions to improve the product and development efficiency.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Proven experience developing front-end applications using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 (React, Vue, or similar framework preferred).
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborating within cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in integrating RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data workflows.
• Solid understanding of version control systems such as Git.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into user-focused solutions.
• Must be able to work an offshore schedule that provides at least a 4-hour overlap with Pacific Time (PT), with availability extending no later than 11:30 a.m. PST.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience developing applications involving image rendering, visualization, or analysis.

The annual salary range for this role is 1,172,900.00 - 1,500,000.00 INR. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
