Front Line Manager Multan Plant

Overview

To manage and control complete production floor in shift operations with process optimization, trouble shooting, manpower management and resource planning through process excellence using company’s defined protocols,

focusing on equipment capability and people skill enhancement.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to identify an opportunity assesses the situation, identify risks with cost factor and impact on efficiencies, develop and implement action plans to eliminate negative material usage negative variances technical understanding of high-speed manufacturing environment, controlling yields, losses and product quality defects.
  • Supervision of floor staff for effective working.
  • Implement company policies, programmers and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures all shift data is completed and entered M&W database for shift wise monitoring of efficiencies, materials consumption and variances. Very strong ability to make right short-term decision without sacrificing long-term results. Critically review raw material variance with root cause analysis, give recommendations and ensure improvement by effective implementation of recommendations.
  • Ensure awareness to personal and other’s safety in area of responsibility. Responsible for safe working of all employees through adequate command over factory safety systems and processes conducting online trainings and creating conducive environment for personal & food safety through trainings & internal audits.
  • Successfully work with others in a Management role: Quality, Facilities, Engineering, Raw Materials Stores and Distribution, planning and oracle teams. Communication with RM & FG warehouse as well as planning and oracle department to resolve day to day issues.
  • Encourages team to participate building continuous improvement culture and encourages others to constantly look for better ways of doing things.
  • Leverages understanding of key business drivers in his area to get target results. Creates a work environment that helps people achieve a healthy balance between work and personal life. Encourages and coaches’ people to build their skills through identification of their skills development needs, Promotes an environment of achievement, recognition and celebration successes. Support process specialists in driving the Starfleet agenda the plant.
  • Ensure support for effective implementation of all Quality & food safety related requirement as per PepsiCo, AIBI, FSSC 22000 5S, TPM & IPS standards. Strengthen Kaizen & 5S Culture across Production & Packaging area and generate productivity through different Kaizen initiatives.
  • Assess machinery and equipment for proper operation, participates in autonomous maintenance activities and play supporting role in timely execution of planned maintenance activities on machines.

  • Managing and mobilizing resources for flavour change within standard flavour through identify time. Information Systems: document and track information and understand production systems, e.g. Schedules, Production Requirements. Planning of production using different routing options, and packing capacities. Preparation of all production related reports and circulation to all required functions every month.
  • Support implementation of Starfleet agenda. Support process specialists in driving the Starfleet capability agenda at the plant. Encourages and coaches’ people to build their skills through identification of their skills development needs.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and product safety in order to ensure compliance against AIBI, IPS, FSSC 22000 and CRP standards.
  • Ensure compliance of HSE rules and procedure as per PepsiCo safety policy
  • In addition to these accountabilities, any task/assignment/project assigned by Line Manager will become part of JD.

Qualifications

  • Degree in either engineering.
  • Minimum 2-5 years FMCG experience with 2 years supervisory role
  • The Front line Manager must possess a very high level of skills and have a clear set of personal attributes in the following areas:
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness (Competencies) - strong communication skills, builds relationships, team leadership and alignment, has respect for others, drive for results, analytical thinking.
  • Ability to identify an opportunity, assess the situation then develop and implement a process to address that opportunity.
  • Technical understanding of high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and techniques.
  • Knowledge of company policies, programmes and regulatory requirements.
  • Interpersonal and Managerial Skills shall include the following:
  • Relevant qualification in Production Management or equivalent.
  • Information Systems: Has the ability to document and track information and understand production systems, e.g. Schedules, Production Requirements and Compliance
  • Safety Awareness: Ensure awareness to personal and other’s safety in area of responsibility.
  • Successfully works with others in a Management role: Quality, Facilities, Engineering, Raw Materials Stores and Distribution.
